What Is Gynecomastia

Sccaudi

Gynecomastia, is a condition in men known as ‘man boobs’, whereby the breasts become larger than normal.Older men and teenagers are those who are most affected, but it is not limited to those age groups.Often this condition does not cause pain, but in some cases in can, and the condition can vary in size from a bit of tissue in the breasts, to more noticeable bulging. There are a number of reasons why men experience gynecomastia, including; hormone imbalance, older age, obesity and medication.

If you have an imbalance between sex hormones, you can suffer from ‘man boobs’. Too much oestrogen in the body can cause breast tissue to grow, while not enough testosterone does not counteract the small levels of oestrogen that are present in all males.

Being very overweight is also a common cause of man boobs. Again, this is down to increased levels of oestrogen, which causes more tissue than normal to grow in the breasts. This, in combination with excess fat in the same area can cause large abnormal breasts in men. Sometimes losing weight can cancel this out, but is not guaranteed to ‘cure’ gynecomastia.

Causes of Gynaecomastia

It commences nearly at the age of 13-14 yrs. At this age, the hormones increase in the body, but it did not bring any abnormal change in body shape except some change in breast tissues. In 30-40% cases, these changes cause enlargement of 4.0 cm in size, and it does not reduce even after a couple of years. To know more about Gynecomastia, visit Ksd-media

The main reason of increased male breast is an altered ratio of estrogens to androgens. An increase in Estrogen or female hormones that act as a growth hormone for an increase in the size of male breast tissue. Drugs are also a cause for 10–25% of cases of gynecomastia. Certain health problems in men such as liver disease, kidney failure or low testosterone can cause breast growth in men. These are the most common cause in adults for breast enlargement. Other medications such as HIV medication, cancer chemotherapy, hormone treatment for prostate cancer, heartburn and ulcer medications, calcium channel blockers, some antifungal medications, some antibiotics, tricyclic antidepressants such as amitriptyline, herbals such as lavender, tea tree oil, and Dong Quai are also known to cause gynecomastia.

However, the cause of gynecomastia is unknown in around 25% of cases.

Who needs Gynecomastia treatment?

It is considered when:

A. You feel stress or anxiety due to over-large chest size.

B. You have to improve your confidence about the overall proportion of the body.

C. The time when your large size chest is embarrassing for you to take part in sports or swimming and gym.

Gynecomastia Advantages

A.It improves your social confidence and skills.

B. Helps you to have efficient and permanent results.

C. It restores your comfort in taking off the shirt in public if needed.

The main aim of the Gynecomastia treatment is to create a natural chest shape and size in men. As well as correct any deformities in the chest regions, such as seen in the nipples or the areolas.

Types of Gynecomastia

There are three types of Gynecomastia are following:-

1. Neonatal–

It is a condition that occurs in newborn babies. It occurs due to the presence of maternal estrogens. The problem might subside after few days of the birth of the baby. There is nothing to worry about if the problem still persists. Neonatal Gynecomastia can cure with neonatal gynecomastia procedure.

2. Adolescent–

It is a condition where nipple starts to grow and looks like a small breast among young males. It identifies as a small and rubbery lump under the nipple. It normally happens during the early years of puberty and fades away after few years. However, if the problem still persists, there is nothing to worry about. The condition can cure with the neonatal gynecomastia procedure.

3. Severe–

It characterizes by severely enlarged breast and saggy or excess skin. This is itself determined in part by age, as older persons suffering from gynecomastia tend to have less skin elasticity and thus will have a greater abundance of excess skin related to gynecomastia. However, if the problem still persists, the condition can cure with the severe gynecomastia procedure. When skin is hanging and loose, some scarring may be unavoidable.

What Are The Benefits Of Rhinoplasty Surgery

Rhinoplasty Cost

Rhinoplasty Or Surgery Nose Reshaping is done to enhance the shape as well as to improve the capacity of the nose and is a standout amongst the most mainstream surgery systems around the world. It can be done to make the nose look smaller or bigger, improves the alignment of the nose as well as the shape or size of the nostrils. The skin of the nose is isolated from the bone and ligament and is reshaped surgically to give the best result. There are the top two methods of doing this surgery. They are:

Closed Rhinoplasty:

In closed rhinoplasty all incisions are hidden inside the nose with no external scars. It is done by lifting the soft tissues of the nose, slightly upward where the cartilage and bone is accessible to perform the necessary changes in the nose.

Open Rhinoplasty:

Open rhinoplasty is done when a nose is having more work to operate. In this procedure the surgeon will make incisions in the skin between the nostrils, which is called the columella. The skin is lifted under the nasal cavity so that the surgeon gets the access to perform the nose reshaping. To know more about Rhinoplasty visit Basna

Benefits Of Rhinoplasty Surgery areas follows :

There are a number of reasons to consider rhinoplasty surgery, not all of which have to do with enhancing your appearance, but certainly, building self-confidence can be life-changing. Rhinoplasty, more commonly known as a “nose job,” can be performed to help modify the shape, size, or even function of your nose. More than 223,000 nose reshaping surgeries were performed in 2016, making it the third most popular plastic surgery procedure in the U.S.

Whether you’ve decided you want to move forward with having a nose job, or you’re still unsure about the procedure, there are specific benefits to rhinoplasty surgery.

Improve breathing:

For those who suffer with congenital or long-term breathing issues, restricting the nose can help significantly with breathing.

Confidence:

A nose job can help boost your self-esteem.

Sinus problems:

Headaches, constant nasal congestion, and sinus pressure can be alleviated with rhinoplasty.

Broken nose:

Repairing a broken nose – no matter the cause – can relieve pain and improve appearance.

Corrective follow-up:

If the first nose surgery doesn’t offer the desired results you want, a revision procedure can be completed to make any adjustments.

Snoring:

While snoring may be something you just deal with or try to remedy with over-the-counter products, it can have a significant impact on your sleep. Nose surgery can provide a permanent solution.

Birth defects:

Whether you have a lump, curve, or underdeveloped nose, surgery can help.

Electing a surgical method to change your appearance or improve your health can come with questions. One of the most common questions about rhinoplasty is concerning the pain and healing process.

While any invasive surgery will come with some discomfort during the healing process, most rhinoplasty patients will have some swelling and tenderness but should experience minimal difficulty breathing. Discoloration is possible, but the majority of patients begin to see the results of the surgery within just a few days. In fact, you’ll likely be able to return to work within a week.

Keep in mind that rhinoplasty is not like a haircut. Your procedure is customized to your needs and your face, so bringing in a photo of a celebrity profile and requesting a nose like the one pictured may not work. Your surgeon will create symmetry and balance during the procedure, and what looks appealing on one person isn’t always a great fit for another.

Despite the stigma, some may place on plastic surgery, the decision to get a nose job should be your personal decision. Make an informed choice by partnering with Mangat Plastic Surgery for a consultation to learn how rhinoplasty can help you.

It has a fuel tank capacity of 45 litres and a curb weight of 1291kgs.

Fiat Linea Classic Cabin

The inside of the Classic is true to the name it carries. The styling is sober with a nice solid touch to all the switches and toggles. Cost cutting implies you do not get much in terms of kit here. You get a CD changer with four speakers, but no AUX/BlueTooth/USB. There are power windows on all four sides, but the driver can control only the front two from his end. Two glove boxes add a lot of convenience. The air conditioner is quiet effective and it really chills the cabin. The thing that we love most is the solid sturdy feel of the cabin. Everything is put together well and will last through ages. The seats are supportive but lack comfort. We believe long drives in these seats could get tiring. The steering is perfectly sized and weighed. However, a leather wrap would have been a welcome touch.

The Linea Classic is actually well equipped when you consider the list price of the car. Linea Classic’s longest wheelbase in the segment implies that there is ample space in the entire cabin. The only issue is headroom at the rear for taller passengers, which is not adequate. The boot space is very considerate with 500 litre capacity. For more info on Fiat Linea Classic  check Pasear-w

Fiat Linea Classic Performance

The Fiat Linea Linea Classic specifications feature the ever reliable 1248cc, 4-cylinder engine delivering power of 76PS at 4000rpmand Torque of 197Nm at 1750rpm.The petrol version feature 1368 4-Cylinder engine delivering power of 90PS at 600rpm and Torque of 115Nm at 4500rpm. In all Fiat Linea Classic models, 5-speed manual transmission is used as a standard.

The variant that we are driving has a 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine that produces 75bhp of maximum power and a healthy 197Nm of peak torque at a low 1750rpm. The petrol variant on offer has a 1.4 litre Fire unit that pumps out 89bhp of power and 115Nm of peak torque. Both these engines are mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The diesel variant is the pick here. It has a bagful of torque and combined with that quick shifting transmission, is a treat to drive. There is a slight lag before the turbo spools up, but then it has a lot of grunt to put many others in the segment to shame. Acceleration numbers are not scorching, but adequate to make the car exciting. We noted a good 160kmph on the highway, with still more in reserve.

Fiat Linea Classic Riding

The handling is perhaps the best bit about the Linea Classic. The steering is direct and tells you exactly what the front wheels are up to. Take it out for a spirited drive and you will come back with a fairly large smile plastered on your face. The ride quality is again very impressive. As it is a big sedan with 2603mm of wheelbase, and it feels big to drive as well. It stays planted to the tarmac on high speeds and ride quality evens out bumps for occupants. The suspension has been carefully adjusted for Indian roads and all you hear is a thud when you drive over a pothole. The clutch does get annoyingly jerky at low speeds, but it is a small price to pay for all the other advantages. Book Fiat Linea Classic Test Drive.

Fiat Linea Classic Safety

The safety of the passengers is also an important issue for which it has ABS with EBD, high tensile steel frame, early crash sensors, crumple zone, reinforced bodywork, Anti-theft engine immobiliser with rolling code, central and automatic door locking, programmable speed limit indicator, double crank prevention system, a digital indicator if the door remained open accidently, fire prevention system, Follow Me Home headlights, driver seat belt warning light with buzzer and 3-point ELR seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters. The Fiat Linea Classic feature anti-lock braking system in Classic plus and Classic plus alloy wheel variant of Multijet diesel version. The safety features such as engine immobilizer, double crank prevention system, fire prevention system are available in all Linea Classic variants.

Fiat Linea Classic Verdict

The main strength of Linea Classic is its high-quality engine and strong build quality and the growing service network which was a major setback earlier. And the competitive price tag has certainly given it a good boost in sales figures as well.As an entire package, the Fiat Linea Classic is a big car for less money. It is the longest in the segment, so it does not compromise on space, and it comes equipped with that brilliant Multijet diesel engine. It drives well and the ride quality is very smooth. Our test car returned 15kmpl on our city commute with air conditioning working the whole time, and will surely return about 18kmpl on the highway. And you get a big boot to carry your stuff around. With all these advantages and a starting price of Rs 5.88 lakh, the big Italian still makes a bold statement for itself.

Datsun redi GO Facelift Review & First Drive

Redi Go Onroad Price In Chennai

Datsun redi GO Overview

The Japanese carmaker Datsun known for making budget cars has shaken up the small hatchback segment in India with the launch of its Redi GO. The small budget car has been successfully running in the market since its inception and has helped the brand strengthen its footprint in the country.

Datsun has launched a limited edition variant of redi-GO with cosmetic upgrades on the outside and inside. The ‘Sport’ limited edition is available at an additional premium of Rs 15,000 over the top-spec S variant. Cosmetic additions made to the exterior include themed grille with red accents, finished wheel cover, roof spoiler, race decals across the bonnet and roof. Inside, it sports sporty black interior theme. Additionally, the limited version comes with rear parking sensor, remote keyless entry and Bluetooth audio system among several others. Launched in India in June 2016, the hatchback is available in five variants-D, A, T, T (O) and S with a choice of 799cc petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. For more info on car loans check Fincarz.

Datsun redi GO Design

The redi-GO’s design is completely different from the Kwid, unlike Renault-Nissan’s previous offerings that were ‘badge-engineered’. The redi-GO looks nothing like the Kwid which works in its favour. In fact, it looks pretty much unlike any other car in its class. Datsun has managed to make it look as close to the concept as possible, which means the redi-GO looks a lot more modern than its rivals. The edgy design, especially the front-end with the sloping hood that extends into the hexagonal grille gives it a youthful appeal. The headlights looks nice too, especially with their split design. Same cannot be said about the tiny LED DRLs though, since they are barely noticeable.

The front three-quarter is the most appealing angle to look at the redi-GO, especially thanks to the sharp cut that runs from the front door right up to the tail lights. The design of the tail gate is again unique, but I didn’t quite like the way the taillights have been designed. On the whole, it is a car that looks eye-catching, especially in that bright shade of green.

Datsun redi GO Cabin

While the Datsun redi-GO was launched with an all grey interior, it has now been updated and all versions get sporty black interiors. The dashboard itself is well contoured though and not like the earlier plain jane slabs of plastic that you got on the Go and Go+. You also get a smart looking gloss black centre console. The infotainment setup comprises a USB and AUX input but no Bluetooth connection, which means you cannot connect your phone to the car wirelessly to play music or take and make phone calls. Storage space, too, could have been better with just one large and another smaller cupholder. The door pads also get limited storage and the glovebox is sufficient to carry your vehicle documents and some other knick-knacks.

The new redi-GO also offers a lot of space in the back seat in terms of knee room and head room but shoulder room for three people is not adequate and it could get quite cramped. The seats themselves are quite comfortable, though, with enough lumbar and under thigh support. There is no folding handrest or adjustable headrests at the backIn terms of the front seats, although they are decently comfortable overall with the exception of being quite narrow on the top half, the distance between the steering wheel and the seats aren’t large enough for drivers 6ft and above since the seats do not slide as far back as they should ideally. Of course, most Indian men have an average height of around 5’8’ so this shouldn’t be a problem to them. On the whole, though, the redi-GO is more spacious than the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and about as spacious as the Renault Kwid.

Datsun redi GO Performance

The redi-GO shares its engine and transmission with the Renault Kwid. Sitting in the hood is the same 3-cylinder, 799cc petrol engine which churns out 54 PS of power at 5678 RPM and 72 NM twisting force at 4386 RPM. Datsun claims they have tuned the engine to extract more juice from the engine as compared to the Kwid. There isn’t much power to play with in the lower end of the rev band and you really have to accelerate hard to get going, however this engine offers a strong mid and high range. Keep the revs in the mid to high range and you will be able to extract good power from the engine. 3-cylinder engines do have some inherent vibration. The doors and steering have some amount of vibration on idle but it disappears once you step on the gas. Check for Datsun redi-GO in Pasear-w

The 5-speed manual transmission offers smooth shifts with evenly spaced out ratios. The first gear tops out at around 40 km/hr, the second just under 80 km/hr while the third will get you doing about 110 km/hr before hitting the rev-limiter. After this the engine loses steam as it has already passed its peak output. Datsun claims that the redi-GO will hit the ton from zero in 15.98 seconds, which isn’t bad for a car in this price bracket. Power feels adequate most of the times but there are times when you would have liked more grunt from the engine. Though a 1-litre engine would have been ideal, Datsun went for the 0.8-litre considering cost and fuel economy.

However, Datsun has said that they will get something new every 6 months and we reckon that it will be eventually getting a 1-litre engine and an AMT. The ARAI certified fuel economy for the redi-GO is 25.27 km/l, which is marginally better than the Kwid. This may be owing to the fact that the redi-GO is marginally shorter (by about, 30 mm) and approximately 25 kgs lighter than its French cousin. We reckon that in the routine driving cycle, one should be able to extract around 15-16 km/l, which is quite respectable.

Datsun redi GO Riding

The Redigo’s electrically powered steering (EPS) is light, but feels lifeless. There’s little feedback on offer and even at higher speeds, the EPS remains inconsistent and vague. On the flip side, its 4.7m turning radius makes this car extremely easy to manoeuvre in the city and makes tight parking a breeze. What stands out though is the Redigo’s ride quality. The suspension tune is spot on and it does a great job of absorbing road imperfections and smaller bumps. Even the larger bumps are discarded in a very mature manner. Pitching and bobbing at high speeds are well controlled too. This little Datsun has a slightly stiff suspension setup to counter the car’s higher body roll, yet on sweeping curves its tall stance does lead to the inevitable top heaviness although it isn’t excessive. Show the car a set of corners or fast curves and it feels outside its comfort zone. Book Datsun redi GO Test Drive.

Its feather-light weight shows its weakness on the highway where the car feels flighty at speeds beyond 80kph. High-speed stability isn’t really confidence-inspiring and crosswinds only add to its nervousness. The car is best suited for city commuting. Thanks to its 185mm ground clearance, shorter wheelbase and slightly stiffened suspension, it should clear tall speed breakers and deep potholes with ease.

Datsun redi GO Safety

The top-end variant of New Datsun Redi-GO features driver side airbags as well, which makes for a very good offer in this segment. Along with this, the car gets disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear to give the driver a confident drive.

Datsun redi GO Price in Chennai

Datsun Redi Go On-Road Price in Chennai ranges from 3,12,228 to 5,04,893 for variants Redi GO D and Redi Go S 1.0L Amt respectively. Datsun Redi Go is available in 10 variants and 8 colours. Below are details of Datsun Redi Go variants price in Chennai.

Datsun redi GO Verdict

Expect the launch to happen within 2 months of the official unveiling of the car on 14th April. This baby Datsun surely will be able to pull some crowd because of its fresh new styling and aggressive pricing. This new budget car will obviously set new standards because it underpins the same platform and is powered by the same engine of the KWID but will be positioned lower than the former.

Ford Figo Facelift Overview & Test Drive

Ford Figo

Ford Figo Overview

Ford introduced its money-spinning hatchback Figo back in the year 2010. And over the time span of 5 years, the company had managed to get the right numbers of faithful customers and sold about 300,000 units of the car. And this number was considered as good as it goes up with the amazing Maruti Suzuki Swift in the segment. Later in the year 2015, the American automaker launched the next generation Figo with inside and out getting a major overhaul. Check for Car Loan Interest Rate at Fincarz.

The all new Figo gets the eye catchy looks, lighter built, loaded with features and with powerful engines on board. Underpinning the same platform, Ford Figo hatchback can be called as the boot-less version of Aspire. Ford is all ready to launch its facelift in 2018 but the date for its introduction has not yet revealed.

Ford Figo Exteriors

The first generation Ford Figo had some quirky styling cues that were appealing to many but not so special to some. The new Figo though comes across as a fresh and complete looking hatchback. There are many appealing bits such as the huge and stylish front grille and swept back headlamps along with a smart bonnet bulge, these obviously remind one of Aston Martin. The side profile gets a strong shoulder line and blackened B-pillar for a sporty appearance but the simple alloy wheel design makes it look a tad old.

Shiny diamond-cut alloys on the range topping variants with bigger tyres would have worked well on the Figo. Having said that, the Figo’s rear gets a neatly designed tailgate, beefy bumper and smart looking crystal clear tail lamps. The well proportioned overall profile of the new Figo along with the tasteful styling attracts some attention. The new model draws a lot of attention on the road as it’s fresh currently, seeing a ton of interest from other Ford car owners.

Ford Figo Interiors

The Figo always had a good reputation of being one of the spacious hatches in its segment and most of the consumers quite frankly prefer a spacious cabin which easily can accommodates five persons while the dash should have a fair amount of gadgets and accessories which could come in handy.

Nothing much is actually different inside in the hatch than the compact sedan which was launched here previously. The cabin looks young and sporty while the black dashboard with the silver accents surely looks gorgeous. The Figo has an impressive wheelbase of 2491 mm which actually has helped in create generous amount legroom and knee room for the passengers seating at the rear bench.

There are number of interesting features as well available on the higher trims of the hatch which includes automatic climate control system which can actually bring the temperature inside the cabin to below 25 degree Celsius in less than 15 minutes. It also gets the MyFord Dock system as well which can actually help in storing mounting and charging mobile phones, MP3 players, it also has got a satellite navigation system which helps in integrating this system with the cars entertainment screen. For Ford Figo check Tamc2011

Ford for the first time is also offering the Ford MyKey technology which actually allows the owners to programme the Figo’s restricted riving mode which actually includes increasing seats belt use and limiting the overall top speed of the vehicle and even regulating the audio volume of the car.

Ford Figo Transmission

As mentioned, the Figo will be available with three engine-gearbox combinations. There’s a 1.2 petrol with a five-speed manual, a 1.5 diesel with a five-speed manual and a 1.5 petrol with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic. The dual-clutch auto version first. This one’s 1.5-litre petrol engine makes the most of its twin cams and variable valve timing architecture to produce a healthy 110.5bhp. The power figure makes the Figo automatic the most powerful of the mass market auto hatches in India. In town, the engine’s good bottom end responses help this version of the Figo build speed smartly. However, in slow-moving city traffic, you can feel the clutch engage, so shifts aren’t super smooth. But once on the go, the gearbox settles into its rhythm and responds well enough to changes in throttle position. It’s not lightning fast as the VW Polo’s twin-clutch unit, but it gets the job done.

At light loads, the gearbox will upshift at about 2,200rpm, but drive hard and it will hold to about 6,300rpm before shifting to the next ratio. Unfortunately, the gearbox’s Sport mode won’t let you hold gear beyond 6,300rpm (at which point the engine sounds thrashy) either, but does well to downshift and keep revs right in the heart of the powerband. Those driving on hilly roads will particularly like the engine braking effect of Sport mode. Drivers also have the option to shift gears manually in Sport, but only via the small ‘+/-’ buttons on the gear lever; there’s no traditional tiptronic function or paddle shifters on the steering. The gearbox is responsive to manual inputs, so you will find yourself making use of the buttons when conditions permit. Performance on the whole is good. The dash from 0 to 100kph takes just 11.1 seconds – the VW Polo GT TSI does it in 11.02 seconds – and in-gear timings are decent as well. View offers on Ford Figo in Pune at Autozhop.

But good as the auto Figo is, it’s the diesel that really impresses us. The engine is the latest version of Ford’s 1.5 diesel you’d find under the hood of the pricier refreshed EcoSport and Aspire, but the good news is that it’s not been dulled down for use in the cheaper hatch. That means power is a solid 98.9bhp! Couple that with a body that weighs all of 1,041kg and you are guaranteed excellent performance. 100kph comes up in 10.5 seconds, which makes the Figo diesel quicker than all the mass segment diesel hatchbacks, bar none.

Real-world performance also feels better than lower-powered rivals from the moment you set off. Responses are good right from idle, with a gentle surge speeding things up at about 1,600rpm. Thereon, there’s an even spread of power right till 4,000rpm. The engine’s not quick revving per se, but remains responsive throughout, even in fifth gear. The diesel engine also runs relatively quiet, though you can feel a buzz on the steering. Also worth mentioning is that gearshifts on the Ford IB5 gearbox are a touch notchy and aren’t suited to quick shifts. Driving in town, we also noted the diesel car’s clutch to be well weighted if springy in action.

Ford Figo Driving

The suspension set-up in the Ford Figo 2017 is well balanced and offers a good riding experience by making the occupants comfortable. The Ford Figo 2017 is based on the new B572 platform and this has well tuned for Indian road conditions. Ford have increased the ground clearance of this car to 174mm. Handling is one of the best you will find and the car rides very well over potholes, though you can feel a few ones. If you have driven a Ford earlier, you will find a typicality in handling, which is precise. The steering is light for city condition as and weighs up well at higher speeds. The Ford Figo 2017 remains planted under hard cornering and the brakes compliment its overall handling. High speed stability is also impressive.

Ford Figo Safety

Braking duties are performed by disc brakes in front and drum brakes at rear. On the safety front, Figo hatchback gets a number of equipments such as six airbags, anti-lock-braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, among the prominent ones. Besides the aforementioned safety features, the hatchback also feature engine immobilizer and driver seatbelt reminder. Some features are exclusive to automatic version like electronic stability control; traction control and hill start assist.

Ford Figo Cost in Chennai

Ford Figo On-Road Price in Chennai ranges from 6,73,751 to 9,73,299 for variants Figo 1.2P Ambiente MT and Figo 1.5P Titanium AT respectively. Ford Figo is available in 10 variants and 7 colours. Below are details of Ford Figo variants price in Chennai. Check for Figo price in Chennai at Tryaldrive.

Ford Figo Final Thought

Although this update is a bit late to join the party, the new Figo ticks all the right boxes in terms of features, engine and gearbox options as well as ride and handling. To add as icing to the cake, it has been priced extremely well too. And for those who worry about after sales, Ford has reduced its service call times as low as 48 hours. Wish there was some more shoulder room for passengers at the back. But as a product, the new 2015 Ford Figo repeats what its predecessor managed to achieve and that itself is quite commmendabl

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Features, Performance & Test Drive

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Overview

Its premium hatchback, Baleno. In fact, the Baleno in many ways redefines the premium hatchback segment for Maruti. It was in 2005 that the company had positioned and launched the Swift as a premium hatchback. But a decade in the automobile sector today is indeed a really long time. Competitors have been able to introduce more appealing products, with much better value, albeit at a higher price. The success of the Hyundai i20 Elite in this segment is a case in point.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno

The fact that Suzuki chose India as the debut location for the Baleno reiterates the importance of India as a leading market for hatchbacks for the Japanese carmaker. Also, it complements the Indian unit’s manufacturing capabilities, as the India will be the sole location for the production of the Baleno, which will be exported to over 100 countries globally. That’s how important the Baleno is for the country’s largest carmaker. Check for SBI car loan at Fincarz.

Post its showcase at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year we were one of the first publications in the country to be able to drive the vehicle around the Jaipur-Ajmer highway. Before we get into the details of the three variants the Baleno will be introduced in, we can tell you that there is a lot of excitement in the Maruti camp. And we share some of that excitement too, but could this become another megahit for MSIL? As in many other cases, the Baleno’s success might just be dependent on how the company prices it.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Exteriors

Looks are subjective but Suzuki had made a new design that will be a part of its design language. The Baleno has a black mesh grille with somewhat Swift-like headlamp design. The LEDs add that pinch of extra flavour else without it does look a tad bland. This is the only premium hatchback to get LEDs, while the Hyundai i20 and the Honda Jazz do not get this in their headlamps

The side profile has a rising belt line for the wheel arches and then there is also a blacked-out pillars. The 16-inch tyres look a bit smaller, indicating that larger size tyres can be used on this premium hatchback. The rear does look stunning with the C-shaped tail lamps that look fabulous. The integrated rear spoiler looks sporty.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Interiors

An all new platform underpins the Baleno. The interior also are brand new and unseen on any Maruti car before. The Maruti Baleno is all about freshness, style and trend. The interior impresses and it stands out with respect to competition. Though the layout is sporty, one can’t sat the same about the quality. It has the same steering wheel with an all new TFT screen with two dials for the instrument cluster. Then there is also a large touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay. The AC vents are vertical. The all black dashboard makes it look sporty.

There is ample space inside the car, including leg room, knee room and head room. The boot has a capacity of 339 litres is more than sufficient to carry luggage for your weekend trips. The Baleno comes with dual airbags and ABS as a standard feature across all variants. There are no rear AC vents, which a disappointment. It is becoming an increasingly importVant feature. Maruti Suzuki Baleno Performance

Powering the Baleno RS is a new 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder direct injection turbocharged petrol motor that produces 100 HP of power at 5500 RPM and 150 Nm of torque at 1700-4500 RPM. Maruti claims that the BoosterJet engine produces 20 percent more power and 30 percent more torque compared to a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine. Low end torque delivery is quite good and this means you can reduce the number of gearshifts in city traffic. The performance is peppy and quite linear. The NVH is excellent for a 3-cylinder engine. It is a free revving engine redlining at 6000 RPM. At the back straight of the BIC the Baleno RS topped at 170 km/hr in the fourth gear.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Driving

The Baleno is lighter than the Swift due to a new platform and while the lightness is a boon, it’s not at the cost of rigidity as the new platform is 10% stronger. This Maruti has been softly sprung (remember, this car is made to please those who find something lacking in the Swift) and comfort is what the Baleno is aimed at. Thus the ride quality is excellent and the car absorbs almost everything in its stride, save for sharper bumps. Even on bad roads, there is little noise which is transmitted to the cabin, the suspension working silently to iron out bad tarmac. But out on the highway, road and tyre noise does get inside the cabin and in the case of the diesel, the engine’s drone further makes things noisy. View offers on Maruti Baleno in Hyderabad at Autozhop.

The top-spec model rides on lower profile, 16-inch wheels while the lower models with higher profile 15-inch rubber is even better in the ride quality department. The Maruti Baleno features a long wheelbase which does help in giving the hatchback very good high speed stability. The handling is good and body control is excellent too, although not in the same league of the sportier Swift. What is really impressive is the steering wheel that weighs up quite well at speed and is quite quick too, feel and feedback being good enough to put a big smile on the driver’s face. Braking performance left us a bit disappointed as the Baleno doesn’t inspire confidence to brake hard and even though it’s light, the car feels a bit twitchy under hard braking, the lower trims more so with the 15-inch MRF ZVTV rubber lacking grip. The top-end model using 16-inch wheels gets Apollo Alnac 4G tyres which offer much better grip than the MRFs.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Safety

The Baleno RS has been launched as a single variant (Alpha). It is equipped with dual airbags, seatbelts with pre-tensioners and force limiters, disc brakes in all wheels, ABS with EBD, and has ISOFIX child-seat restrain anchorages. Driver seatbelt reminder buzzer with lamp and rear parking sensors with camera are among the other safety features.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Cost

Maruti Suzuki Baleno On-Road Price in Mumbai ranges from 6,36,475 to 10,11,148 for variants Baleno Sigma Petrol and Baleno Alpha CVT Petrol respectively. Maruti Suzuki Baleno is available in 11 variants and 14 colours. Below are details of Maruti Suzuki Baleno variants price in Mumbai. Check for Baleno price in Mumbai at Tryaldrive.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Final Thought

The Baleno is based on the new, Suzuki fifth-generation platform that is lighter, rigid and safer. Designs are subjective and the Baleno doesn’t top the list when it comes to styling, but what it gets is a complete package from the country’s best-selling car maker. The interior quality, the space and the drivability is one of the best in its segment. Maruti is ticking all the correct boxes with the Baleno and this is what the customers need. This is the new-generation Maruti and it stands strong, sending a signal to the competition that it is not going to stay quiet and it will not give up its market share. It is there to lead and hold on its market share. The Baleno is the first one and many more are coming in.

Maruti Suzuki is once again flexing its muscles with the Baleno and this is the segment that is already on a rise. The brand value adds on to it and it makes it a great option to buy, especially the petrol. Once the price tags are revealed that is when we can give a clear opinion. The only think that will stop buyers from getting a Baleno is the badge value that Maruti Suzuki holds in the premium segment at the moment in the premium segmen

STUDENT EVALUATIONS OF TEACHING

UT Evaluators

Student evaluations of teaching (SET) are standard fare in higher education where there is often relatively little information available to judge what is supposed to be a major part of professors’ work. There are often long end of course surveys students complete, covering everything from whether the content was relevant to the professor’s competence to whether students felt fairly treated. Putting students in a role as observers of what happens in classes isn’t a bad idea, and I’ve written about the Measures of Effective Teaching Project here.

Not everything that is asked of students is clearly in their realm though, such as whether the professor knows his/her stuff, and much more care should be given to asking students to observe what is observable and experienced specifically by them. This matters when the data from these surveys are used to make career decisions about professors. The overall evaluation process for tenure, promotion, merit pay, and continuing appointment involve more components than teaching and indeed scholarship (publishing) is often compensatory and can nullify a poor teaching evaluation. But that’s another post, for another day. For Educational Evaluations in US visit here

A recent study at NC State points to a specific, and serious, problem with student evals of teaching: they are gender biased. One of the basic issues in instrument construction is validity and it would appear student evaluations of teaching aren’t living up to this expectation.

“The ratings that students give instructors are really important, because they’re used to guide higher education decisions related to hiring, promotions and tenure,” says Lillian MacNell, lead author of a paper on the work and a Ph.D. student in sociology at NC State. “And if the results of these evaluations are inherently biased against women, we need to find ways to address that problem.”

Benjamin Schmitt, an assistant professor of history at Northeastern University, who is interested in data visualization has given us what might be the most useful data to see the effects of gender bias. He used Rate My Professor as the data source describing his analysis here, and before you get all uppity about this there is at least some evidence of a reasonably high correlation between ratings on RMP and institutional SETs. Schmitt has created an interactive chart to explore gender, discipline and student ratings. It’s pretty amazing… and eye-opening. I’ve clipped just a few examples when different terms are used to search the data base.

Apparently male professors in psychology might have futures as stand up comedians, all education professors are so caring any of them might be the next Mother Teresa, and all philosophy profs are brilliant but men more so than women. Not all descriptors are gender biased… attractive, for example, leads us to believe education professors are the least attractive (ouch!) while the hotties are female criminal justice and male philosophy profs… but a surprisingly consistent pattern of gender bias against women across disciplines is apparent. Check for Educational Evaluations  in aspnetmenu

Explore this interactive chart and be amazed, even appalled. You’ll find that men are more likely to be seen as a star, knowledgeable or awesome and women are more likely to be seen as bossy, disorganized, annoying and to play favourites, whilst being either nicer or ruder than men. (Wait, is that rudely nice OR nicely rude?)

But then ask if the student ratings have any basis in fact. Are philosophy professors really more brilliant than professors in accounting, business or health sciences? Do women across all disciplines lack a sense of humour? In other words, the problem with these ratings are complex and layered… gender bias, for sure; truth value, disputable.

And yet, faculty committees and higher ed administrations persist in using such flawed data or at least continue to symbolically offer it up as grounds for important personnel decision making.

10 Advantages of Using A Virtual Phone System

Virtual phone services

In recent years, many company owners and managers are opting for a virtual PBX system. These are VOIP (voice over IP) phone systems which operate on the web. It is often referred to as “Cloud” services because these programs are hosted by remote providers – far removed from one’s base of operation. Why are companies opting for this virtual solution?

If you own or run a company, you will more than likely be familiar with a PBX (private branch exchange) phone system. This local phone network allows your workers/employees access to phone calls while sharing a few external company phone lines or numbers. Check for Virtual Phone System in Linkedphone.

In other words, customers calling your company’s phone number can be quickly routed to the proper agents or branches within your company.Obviously, having an efficient PBX phone system is crucial to the operation of any company – big or small. Therefore, choosing and implementing any PBX should be taken seriously because your decision can often determine how successful your company will become in the future.

Perhaps, the over-riding reason has to do with the major benefits using a virtual phone exchange gives any company. These are discussed in some detail below, and if you’re considering a virtual PBX system they are probably worth knowing.

1. Total Integration

Let’s face it; we have become a totally mobile computer obsessed world – one that is completely connected every second of every day. Total integration of your company into this mobile connected world is the only way to proceed. Using a virtual PBX system will fully integrate your company’s operations into this wireless environment and synchronize all your operations with your computer network.

2. Quick Set-up Or Installation

Installation or set-up is almost instant as there are no landlines or hardware to install. The common use of cell phones, mobile tablets/laptops makes setting up a Virtual PBX system quite painless. While many virtual phone providers do supply special VOIP phones your company can use, but depending on the size of your operation, your current smartphones and computers may suffice.

3. Cheaper Costs With One Monthly Payment

Virtual phone systems usually cost less than traditional ones – especially when you consider the expense of installation and ongoing maintenance of a landline system. There is one low monthly payment, and long-distance calls will be cheaper over a VOIP system. For Virtual Phone System  visit jsrr

4. Completely Scalable

A virtual phone system is completely scalable – you can add lines or numbers within seconds. This factor is important if your company is growing quickly and you want to keep costs to a minimum.

5. Location Independence

With a web-based phone service, you and your workers have complete access regardless of where they are located. This location independence means your company is no longer limited to one location. Also, it means customers can reach your company 24/7, 365 days of the year.

6. Flexible

These virtual phone systems are very flexible when it comes to call management. There are many options including voice mail, direct routing or even a virtual secretary if you’re operating on a small budget.

7. Convenience

Again, having a web-based system will offer much more convenience since you and your workers are no longer restricted to one location. Calls can be accessed from anywhere at any time, so this offers great convenience to your workers.

8. Enhance Customer Interaction

Virtual phone systems can offer greater enhanced customer interaction especially if they are set-up properly where a customer is quickly directed to the right service or employee that can solve their problem or issue within minutes.

9. Internet Fax

Most of these virtual phone providers also offer Internet or online fax as an additional feature that can be a major benefit for companies. Online faxing is portable, convenient, flexible and much cheaper than traditional faxing methods.

10. Competitiveness

Competitiveness is a major benefit that should be considered by any company opting for a virtual or cloud solution to their phone network operations. Any owner will have to consider if having a phone system that is mobile, scalable, flexible, convenient, cost-efficient and totally integrated into the web will simply make your company more competitive?

The Best Advantages Of Virtual Business Phone Number

Audi A4 Design

Aesthetically you’ll notice that it doesn’t look radically different from the current A4. To the uninitiated it could even be passed as a face-lift. But make no mistake that this is actually a brand new car. The overall familiarity of the design is to keep the identity of the A4 intact, you cannot mistake it for any other car and it looks rather elegant in form. The new DRLs look good and edgy. They flank the 3D grille which is in tune with Audi’s new design philosophy.

The shoulder line is quite prominent and runs all the way from the headlamp to the tail lamps. Speaking of which, the tail lamps are new and redesigned as well and the fluid turn indicators have trickled down to the A4 as well. The car looks bigger than it used to yet weighs 95kg less. It sits on 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels which add a bit of sporty character and the rubber is 225 section Hankook on all four sides.

Audi A4 Cabin

The new Q7 had set a new benchmark for interiors. The same design has flown into the 2017 Audi A4 as well. The air-con vents extend from the centre console to the co-driver’s door. A large screen is placed above and simple AC controls underneath it. There is a gear knob too, which resembles the Q7. The cabin feels plush and spacious. Then there is the MMI system with its bells and whistles. The quality is at par with other Audi products.

New Audi A4 screenNow, the space? The front row was never a problem. It has always had good knee room and head room even for tall passengers. However, the increase in length of the 2017 Audi A4 means there is more room at the back. Now, tall people can sit comfortably even at the back. The space for the rear passengers isn’t just good but even the seats are highly supportive. They are hard and have a good recline, making it comfortable for long distance trips. Only two people can sit at the back, as the central tunnel intrudes into the space. This is just want Mercedes-Benz has done to the C-Class. The boot space too is larger than before on the 2017 Audi A4.

Audi A4 Performance

The last-gen A4’s diesel was the quietest in the class, and the new engine keeps that flag flying high. It’s really quiet at idle, and though there is a mild grumble at low revs and you can hear the engine when you floor the accelerator, it’s never loud or harsh. In average driving, especially engine and overall cabin noise levels remain admirably low. Check for Audi A4 in quisicilia.com

Performance is really impressive. Sure, its 8.08 second 0-100kph time is well off the BMW 320d M Sport’s launch-control-enabled 7.25 second benchmark figure, but you’ll never feel left wanting for power in the A4. The A4 responds well to even mild taps on the throttle and generally feels peppy and light on its feet. It’s alert at low revs but comes into its element as the engine revs on crossing 2000rpm. The mid-range is strong and if you keep the pedal to the metal, the engine will rev happily to 4700rpm before the electronics step in and upshift automatically. As always, the dual-clutch gearbox is quick in gearshifts and adapts well to your driving style. You can also use the paddle-shifters and the chunky gear lever for manual control of gearshifts.

Audi A4 Rideing

As mentioned, the A4 is available in India in front-wheel drive only. Launch the car hard and you will feel some effects of torque steer and, honestly, it’s not as exciting around the bends as its rivals either. However, you always do get a good feeling of control at the helm and handling is always safe and predictable, which should be enough dynamic prowess for the majority of A4 buyers. You can fine tune the experience to the extent thanks to the four driving modes on offer – Normal, Dynamic, Auto and Individual. Were it up to us, we’d go for the Individual setting and put the steering in Dynamic and engine in Normal.

The compromise brings in the more feel-some steering from the sporty mode while doing away with its mildly jerky low-speed power delivery. The driving modes don’t alter the A4’s suspension characteristics, but the stock setup is rather nice as is. Bump absorption is excellent and the overall ride quality is largely free from that typical firmness we’ve come to expect from European cars. That the suspension does its work quietly is also something that helps maintain the calm in the cabin. If there’s something to bring up, it’s that there is perhaps a bit more up and down movement at triple-digit speeds compared to the petrol engine car. But even so, the A4 diesel feels well damped at all times.

Audi A4 Safety

The Audi A4 features disc brakes with calipers and anti-lock braking system, and electronic stability control program for effective braking and controlling. The Audi A4 specifications for safety include front airbags for the driver and co-passenger, head airbags, and side airbags for the rear seat occupants. The additional safety features include a reversing camera, and parking aid at the front and rear for safe parking of the car.

Audi A4 Price

Audi A4 On-Road Price in India ranges from 44,59,024 to 50,69,270 for variants A4 30 TFSI Premium Plus and A4 35 TDI Technology respectively. Audi A4 is available in 4 variants and 5 colours. Audi A4 Verdict

Recommending the new A4 to anybody so far has always included a caveat about the petrol engine. It’s a good engine, no doubt, but comes across as a bit underwhelming for a luxury car. With this diesel engine, the A4 finally gets the power it always deserved. The diesel engine is strong, refined and, with an ARAI-tested fuel-economy of 18.25kpl, promises to be fuel efficient too. In fact, the diesel engine immediately makes the new A4 feel more complete and elevates it in terms of desirability. Also, with a price tag of Rs 40.2- 43.3 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the A4 35 TDI is competitively priced by class standards. The long wait for the A4 diesel has been worth it.
